MNP or Mobile Number Portability is the method of migrating current network to another network without changing the mobile number.Thanks to Mobile Number Portability.
Before porting from one network to another, you have to full fill few conditions.The one main thing is your current network must be 90 days old from the day of activation otherwise you cant able to port your number before 90 days.Also, you should clear your current outstanding bill payment, that is you should be no dues in the current network before porting to a new one.These are the basic conditions before initializing the porting. If you are eligible with these conditions then you can move to further steps of porting.

Steps to Port Docomo Mobile Number to Other Network
- At first, generate a Unique Porting Code (UPC) by sending an SMS.
SMS PORT<space><your current mobile number> to 1900
Now you will receive an 8 digit UPC number from Docomo.
- Next visit your nearest network operator which you want to port IN.
- Now fill out the mobile number porting form along with your gathered documents.
Porting service charge a nominal fee around Rs 19.
- Once you complete the steps you will get new SIM card.
Generally, the porting process will complete within 7 Days, Until this time your new sim card won’t be active.Nowadays verification process is much easier than previous days.The verification using Aadhar card and fingerprint makes the process faster.If you provide Aadhar as the ID proof then the manual documents and photograph are not required to verify the authentication process.
